International Day for the Eradication of Poverty History
International Day for the Eradication of Poverty was first observed in 1987 by the UN and is set for October 17th annually. It aims to remind that a sustainable future requires everyone from all backgrounds to come together and help one another by ensuring that those living in poverty maintain their rights as human beings.
Millions of people are trapped in an extreme poverty that has had that suffering exacerbate through COVID 19.
