This Singer 500 is a golden-oldie of a sewing machine. It comes with a printed manual.
It is not made of plastic, but metal, and has been serviced by Paul, our sewing machine specialist. It has been oiled, checked over and parts replaced if needed.
This would be a great machine for someone who is a beginning sewer and doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on purchasing a new machine; or, it’s a great machine for the experienced sewer who knows a reliable machine.
The machine folds down into the top of the cabinet, covered by the wooden lid and can then be used as a small table, while being stored. There are some drawers for attachments and other sewing notions.
The cabinet needs some TLC: it could be sanded and refinished or oiled with lemon oil to bring back the moisture to the wood.
